Jordan Dossett

Shorting out an entire city power grid, in 1982, Jordan bypassed a Speak + Spell into the family home’s fuse box. Guess she really wanted to “phone home”, she still bears a scar on her right hand from where the glass fuses shattered and sparked.  Just ask if you wanna see the scar.

A Chief Trouble Maker since an early age it was clear that Jordan was destine to take on  great and many things.  Jordan is a sought after author, speaker and artist.

MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT (INVOLVING A COMPUTER): hummm, oddly it is not even my personal embarrassment, but in a way it is.   It has to be the time that my Mother called me from California, to tell me her computer had stopped working.  I asked her what she was doing that made it stop working.  She replied "...well I was worried that I was using too much hard drive space, I looked and saw this huge folder called Windows so I deleted it and the computer just will not reboot".  I responded the only way I could think to respond: "Mom, am I adopted?"

Claire Smith

With a B.A. from Smith College and soon a Master's (May 2012) from George Washington University, Claire is a lover of all things art.  At Smith, she chose to major in Art History (oddly saving the planet from alien invasion was not available), interesting but entirely impractical field. Happily, her interest in art led her to discover she had a knack for teaching, and she has spent the years since helping organizations and museums utilize education and technology.

FACT: Claire types on a Dvorak keyboard, because she once read that it was more efficient than QWERTY.  No one else can seem to use her computer... ? humm.

Ben Matics

A graduate of the University of Maryland (with a degree in Biology no less), Ben dreams of one day exploring remote areas of the wild in search of strange and wonderful animals.  But for now he is happy coding away in the wilds of the web at Antharia.  A lad of all things tech, Ben remembers exploring the realm of BASIC on his first computer and now spends his days deep in the realms of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, AJAX, and JavaScript.

MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT (INVOLVING A COMPUTER): One night while playing around on my family’s computer, it crashed and would only make an strange clicking noise when I tried to reboot it.  I assumed that I had done something stupid and broke it (it wouldn’t have been the first time), so I stayed up all night trying to fix it, without success. In the morning  when my parents came downstairs, they found me sitting on the couch looking utterly defeated, and I sheepishly admitted that I had wrecked the computer once again.  In the end, it turned out it wasn’t anything I had done; the hard drive had just died.

Animal lover to the max as I've lived in what some call a zoo. Currently we house three dogs, a parrot, a bunny, turtles, and fish but this is a far cry from what all used to live here. Ahhh I miss the fresh chicken eggs ^_^.

Jonathan Thompson

A self proclaimed jack of all trades, master of none, Jonathan is a creature of many obsessions, particularly related to artistic expression. Jonathan is an active designer, illustrator, photographer, poet, philosopher, musician, decision maker, husband, father, friend, brother, and all around pretentious human type. Along with his family (Wife Amanda, two children Deacon and Ava, and APBT Vesta) and art Jonathan is also deeply involved, in his mind, in global and local politics. Known to disagree with pretty much every political faction, He is a true independent with sharply crafted ideals and a predisposition to talk one's ear off about a number of topics of varying importance.

FACT: Jonathan's son Deacon has his own Youtube Vocabulary show, which features words like sesquipedalian, plenipotentiary, and blatherskite.

Buddy Dogsburger

My name is Buddy and I am a super sniffer!  I am 14 years old and I have lived with Jordan + Jenn since I was one, when I was adopted from Washington Animal Rescue League.  I was found in a trailer in West Virgina, where someone had beaten me with a hanger and so I tend not to like the dark or many men.  I get kind of freaked out.  No worries I am a happy fella and if you give me half a chance I will sit in your lap.  Truth be told I am getting on in age, my legs wiggle a bit so I don't run as many figure 8's as I used to, but I love to hang out with Oreo and I put up with that little dog Behr just fine.  If you nicely ask  you can come take me for a walk, I do a 1/2 mile stint once a day.

ALTER EGO: Small dog (I luv's to sit on laps).

Oreo Doug Cookie

Oreo joined the Antharia staff after being hit by a car and having his pelvis crushed and dislocated.  Being labeled a low key fella, PGSPCA thought he would make a terrific match for Jordan and sent him on his way for some R+R.  Within weeks, Oreo was jumping 2-4 feet in the air and running faster than you could ever imagine.  Oreo now lives in his forever home with Jordan.  During his days at Antharia, Oreo sleeps and eats and chases his toys.  Honestly so far he provides no functional offering to date, well... other than being cute.

FACT: I am much smaller than I look unless you shave the hair off me (which Jordan does) I look pretty big, but the fact is, I am just 14 lbs.

Behr Ursa Minor

My name is Behr, I also go by Ursa Minor :) but you can call me Lil' Thug if you like; as I am the muscle here at Antharia.  I keep everyone in line around here.  I am the barker, the growler, and I make sure no one sneaks in or out.  I was found running around loose in Maryland in 2010 and adopted by Jordan from Prince George's PGSPCA.  Grrrowl!

FACT: When you are not looking I will jump up in your lap and pretend I am a lover.
